One lot (set of seven bound volumes) from the George Barris personal car magazine collection.
I recently purchased the collection from George's son.The collection consists of 1000s of car magazines from the 1950-1970s; individual issues, hardbound sets by year and magazine title, and car show programs.His son stated that these are the issues that George Barris kept for his own private collection.I will be listing many of them.I have one "Barris Kustom Industries Certificate of Authenticity", signed and dated by George's son, stating I purchased "the original George Barris vintage magazine collection from his son". A copy will be provided with every item sold from the collection.

Motor Life Magazine, hardbound set, 1955-1961, complete.This collection is complete, January 1955 thru the last issue, November 1961.83 total issues.
This set of seven hardbound volumes was in the collection I purchased.
George's son told me that George did not take magazines in his collection to be hardbound. Rather, the magazine's publisher provided George a bound volume each year.
Motor Life Magazines are great time capsules capturing the hot rod/custom car trends of the era. Motor Life was a directcompetitor to Motor Trend with similar content.
