About 20 years I bought a group of photographs from Gary Faye while he was still living in Houston, Tx. I was going to have the photos matted and returned to him for sighing. Twenty years ago was a busy time time for me, raising three young kids ages 2-5 then, and dealing with an ailing mother. Bottomline the matting never got done, and they were never signed. I came across them a few days ago, and decided to just list them as loose unsigned photos.
Gary Faye images retailed in galleries in the 1980/90\'s from $250.00 (8x10\'s/11x14\'s) to over $2,000.00 for his oversize photographs.

In the late 1960s, early 1970s Gary Faye attended what proved to be two life changing workshops with Ansel Adams. Two years later, already committed to an art degree, he was invited to be an assistant for two June sessions. Those influences followed him through the next 40+ years as a fine art and commercial photographer. Landscape and still life work evolved through those decades and included teaching as well as freelance and self assignment work.
Today, Gary continues expanding his repertoireinto still life and reaching beyond his black and white landscapes into the beautiful hues of the Southwest; Big Bend and the Salton Sea. He currently lives in Southern California and enjoys traveling.
