16\" long stem gandalf smoking pipe with a cherry wood bowl, mahogany stem, wide airways, and a charcoal bowl coating. This tobacco pipe is finished with colorful dye stains and a shellac finish, with a rustic black and tan look and a pair of smooth rings at the rim. Each pipe is made by hand, by me, in my small shop in Arizona. I make every pipe to order, using traditional tobacco pipe making tools and techniques,and ship when they are completed.No two pipes are identical, and it is a fully functional smoking pipe that can be used as a prop, a gift, or to enjoy your favorite tobacco.
BENEFITS OF MY LONG STEM WOODEN PIPES
Longer stems mean a cooler smoke, which is easier on the pallet, and a better experience.
My pipes have a higher stem angle, making them more comfortable to hold.
The bowls are made from Cherry Wood, which is a traditional wood for pipe making.
Each pipe is one piece, very light for it’s size, and made using traditional tools and techniques.
The colors and finishes are all vibrant, and beautiful.
HOW MY TOBACCO PIPES ARE MADE
Every Stag and Banner long stem pipe is made with a Cherry Wood Bowl, hand turned and shaped on the lathe.
The stems are made from Mahogany, and they all stain and finish beautifully.
Bowls and Stems are glued together and then finished using beautifully colored dyes and food safe finishes.

HOW TO CARE FOR A CHURCHWARDEN PIPE
This is a heirloom quality, handmade tobacco pipe that can last a lifetime if you care for it properly, and treat it well.
This is not a throwaway pipe that you can toss around, and be rough with.
The stem is made form a natural hardwood, and can’t be chewed, bent, or sucked on like a cheap plastic stem pipe.
When cleaning, keep the outside surface from getting wet, as this can harm the finish.
Don’t leave the pipe where it can be exposed to extremes in temperature, like a hot car.
Handle the pipe like you would a high end, handmade heirloom, and give it the care it needs so it lasts you a long time. I still have the very first wizard pipes that I made decades ago in my shop, and they still have a lot of years of smoking left in them.
ORDERING A SMOKING PIPE AND TIMELINE
When you complete your order, that is when work will begin on your pipe. There is no back-stock, and no big pile of pipes sitting around just waiting to be sold. Each one is made as they are ordered.
Once an order is made, and the work has begun, there can be no changes or cancellations.
I personally make every pipe, which is why it takes several days to complete. These are not imported or just designed by me, they are made in their entirety by me, and handmade quality takes time.
