This German sword is a rare and unique find, featuring triple etchings that highlight the intricate design of the blade. With its origins tracing back to the 63rd Artillery Regiment in Frankfurt, this sword is an original piece from the World War I era. Its country of manufacture is Solingen, Germany, known for producing some of the finest edged weapons in history. The condition of the blade is beautiful with the triple etch being nice and solid with the blued panels on both sides, the old script German writing is quite appealing and really gives it a wonderful touch, the scabbard has normal paint wear and scratches, the hilt shows wear and plating loss as you can see, the sharkskin grip is nice and solid with no damage and the grip wire is also solid and tight.
