GOOD SMALL LATE 17TH C 6.75" BRASS DIAL HOOD WALL CLOCK ALARM LANTERN FRAME GWO:

A late 17th or early18th century wall clock with 6 3/4”square brass engraved dial, unsigned. Well made postedframe movement. Nicely turned brassposts to the frame suggesting a West Country origin Dial with matteddial centre and with small cherub spandrels. Very nice originalsteel hour hand with alarm setting dis behind. Movement withoriginal sheet iron back plate upon which is mounted the originalalarm mechanism Anchor escapementwith long pendulum. The clock is in goodworking order and is complete with pendulum, drive weight and wallhanging bracket. The movement is inreally remarkably original condition. The clock is inrunning order. Selling as trying downsize clock collection. Pleasesee images below. Atthe top of the images below I have included four short videos to giveyou an idea of how the clock runs and strikes. Buyers in the USA please note;- This is an antique item and as I understand it there should be no import charges into the US, If you see import charges levied by in the listing, please contact me before buying the item or making an offer and I shall try and take appropriate action to deal with the problem which is caused by the mis-categorization by of antique clocks. Condition. The movement is ingood original untouched condition with old patina although it isslightly dusty. Maybe could do with a light cleaning. There is some wearto the pinion leaves but this does not interfere with the running ofthe clock . The escapementfunctions correctly The movement iscomplete. Drive weights andlong pendulum with wall bracket included. One of the lowerdial feet (lugs) is missing but this does not affect the security ofthe dial attachmet to any significant degree.
