NOTE - no attempt has been made to polish, clean or otherwise make this knife more attractive for photos.

A good looking, rare Stag curved profile pocket knife with Lamb Foot blade and the tang stamp for Savory & Moore in good condition. Possibly an early “Doctor’s knife”. Savory & Moore were a London based pharmacist, with the first shop being established in 1849. The company was a Victorian institution and supplied pharmaceutical goods to the Royal Family. This knife was likely made for them in Sheffield and I believe dates to the 1860’s or 70’s.

Measures approximately 4 inches long overall, closed. Blade measures approximately 3 inches long, edge only. Obverse tang stamped “Savory & Moore”. Good stag scales secured by three pins. White metal pinched bolsters.Steel liners. Very good snap and detent at 90 degrees. Obverse scale has a crack near rear pin and another near the forward pin. Small crack to rear scale near rear (heel) pin. Blade and spring with age staining.
