Published in August, 1977 by Marvel. “The Coming!" Story by Doug Moench. Art by Herb Trimpe & Jim Mooney. Cover by Trimpe. Guest-starring Nick Fury & S.H.I.E.L.D. First appearance of Godzilla in the Marvel Universe. First Godzilla Squad (with Dum Dum Dugan & Jimmy Woo). Original cover price was 30 cents.

From a solicitation description: “The slumbering leviathan known as Godzilla has awaken and rises out of the sea off the shores of Alaska. This reptilian titan has already left Japan devastated and now has made his way to America. With a tail that can smash mountains to dust and fiery breath born out of the Atomic Age, is there anything that can stop this monster's rampage? Right from the Toho Productions' famed movie series comes Godzilla, King of the Monsters.”

Condition is Apparent Very Fine/Near Mint. Complete with no writing, no tape, no spine splitting, no folds, no creases. Cover & interior pages are secure at the staples. HOWEVER, while I am not 100% sure, I strongly suspect that it has been trimmed. I may be wrong because it was done so well. Have shown this to other comic collectors & dealers & they seem to think that it’s only miscut. Even though it presents beautifully, I am still not convinced, so I will offer this as being an APPARENT Very Fine/Near Mint & price it accordingly. In other words, if you plan to send this in for grading, I believe you will get a high grade but it will be Purple (Restored) & not Universal Blue.
