Two beautiful English estate pipes offered in this listing :

A freehand (with panels) GBD International, one of the good series of GBD's pre-Cadogan period. Big bowl (similar to Dunhill's Group 4 in size), quite clear grains, beautiful saddle stem.

And a straight pot with saddle stem, quite clear grains and very big bowl size (similar to Dunhill's Group 6) by KAYWOODIE, made in England some time in the 1950s-1970s (see in the last photo the amount of oxidation on its stem before it was cleaned).

Both pipes are in near mint condition.

The freehand has approximate length 140 mm (5.51"), bowl height 45 mm (1.77"), chamber depth 37 mm (1.46"), chamber diameter 18 mm (0.71") and weighs 47 gr (1.66 oz). Shank marks : GBD [in oval, logo], INTERNATIONAL, LONDON MADE, LONDON ENGLAND, 1623 - Stem marks : GBD [in oval, logo, embossed, on the upper side]

Thepot has approximate length 141 mm (5.55"), bowl height 42mm (1.65"), chamber depth 34 mm (1.34"), chamber diameter 21 mm (0.83") and weighs 37 gr (1.30 oz). Shank marks : KAYWOODIE, London Made, 95 B - Stem marks : white spades mark [on the side]Both pipes do not take filters and have original vulcanite stems.
