Text is clean and free of marks. Binding tight and solid. A vintage Harvard Cooperative Society fold-open brochure featuring the 1956 Christmas Collection of ties from G.S. Harvale & Company. The styles include the Harvard Shield and Emblem, British Regimentals, Personalized Silk Foulards, Figure Weaves, and English Wool Challis. G. S. Harvale & Co., who make and sell old-school ties as well as ties for clubs, university clubs, fraternal organizations, corporations, trade-associations, and labor-unions. The company\'s idea is to democratize the old-school tie. But they do not sell a tie to an individual who does not have the proper authorization to wear it. Dyes for these ties must be exactly right at all times, with no variations. Industrial \"school ties\" are mostly designed by Harvale\'s art dept. in consultation with the companies.
