This has me stumped. I’ve spend HOURS and can’t find another or anyone who knows! According to the bottom I was able to find the company (see photos) and according to their history this can shouldn’t exist! The closest I found contained industrial ALCOHOL from 1937 which fits the numbers but there’s NO record of the company making these cans. Many said Sinclair but those were 2 and 5 gallon. it is truly a mystery but one thing is certain. It’s from 1936 AND is from a very famous company that’s long gone. Others sell for o er 125.00, It’s a piece of Americana. Our INDUSTRIAL history and you’ll never ever find another because THIS ONE shouldnt even exist! buy it fast it won’t last long.
