French Model 1854 Naval Marine Officers' Sword Coulaux Klingenthal + Scabbard:

Antique original French Model 1854 Naval Marine Officers' Sword Saber measuring 32" overall with a blade length of 26.75". Very nice with age patina, light wear, blade retains nearly all of it's original bright finish. The double fullered shows some scattered dings/chips on the front half, middle area of the blade edge. The ricasso area of the blade shows two hallmarks, the top of the blade, spine is stamped, MANUF. KLINGENTHAL CIE COULAUX CIE" (see photo). One of the more ornate of the Military Sword, this one has a beautiful basket with Anchor and floral design. Handle is all tight with no looseness. Brown wood handle in very good condition. No wire, or leather. Nice to see the scabbard complete on this. Black leather shows some surface wear/scratches, with same ornate appearance and is beautiful. The brass locket wiggles a bit.
