In getting ready to put this up, I poked around , looking for the prices of Oregon fossilized cherry wood. I was surprised at the prices; they were very high. I’ve never collected slices, I like chunks of petrified wood that look like wood: great bark, lovely shape, clearly a limb, something like that. If you look at my other pieces of petrified wood, you’ll see that they are all lovely log sections that are fantastic examples of their type. That’s the same with this limb of cherrywood from Oregon. No slice, an entire limb. The sliced end is matte finished and the entire limb is very displayable, and a great addition to a fossil collection or a fossil wood collection. And at $49 with shipping included, it’s ready to go into yours.
