Here is a very interesting set of grinding teeth from a Phacodus Punctatus.From the late Cretaceous (85 to 66 million years) in Morocco. Found near Khourigba.
The Phacodus used these rounded teeth, and they made excellent crushers and grinders.If you look closely, you can see tiny \"dimples\" in each tooth.
The teeth on this plate are about 1.5 inches total length. The plate is about 4 inches, and it weighs 15.85 oz.
There are also a number of very interesting bones showing in the matrix. Including a partial tooth probably from a shark, and a large piece of what we guess is a piece of jawbone.
