During President Clinton\'s eight years in office, his autographs were hard to come by. His signatures were easier to obtain once he left office and did book tours and golf outings. As a long-time golf memorabilia collector, I subscribed to all of the golf magazines, including California Golf. The November/December 2011 California Golf Magazine had Clinton\'s picture on the front cover. I found out that Clinton had an office in New York and was able to find his telephone. I called and spoke to one of Clinton\'s staffers, who was from Pennsylvania, my home state. I told him about my hobby of collecting famous autographs and asked him if I sent the cover of California Golf to him, would he be gracious enough to get the former president to sign it? He said yes. Lucky for me, I was able to get Clinton to sign the piece. I had it professionally framed and hung it in my golf room at home for a long time. At 89, I\'m beginning to sell some of my golf memorabilia items. I didn\'t try to get Clinton\'s autograph authenticated because I knew where it came from. I know for a fact that Clinton\'s signature isn\'t an autopen. I also know that presidential autographs continue to be popular among collectors. I am listed in the 2017 Guinness World Records for having the largest collection of autographed golf balls in the world. My most recent autograph on a golf ball came from Whoopi Goldberg. I still have the large envelope the signed cover came in. It\'s unique because there\'s no postage on the top right-hand corner. There, it shows William G. Clinton signature. Underneath his signature is written - Postage and Fees Paid. The envelope goes to the buyer. Whoever buys this piece will own a piece of American history. Good luck! Joe Galiardi
