Fine large antique 19th century French enamel perfume/scent bottle casket vgc.:

On offer is a fine Palais Royale enamel French perfume casket measuring approx 19cm high.It is a stunning hinged spherical casket depicting hand painted peacock decorated with raised patterning of flowers and foliage.Gilt metal mounts with three leaves draped on legs.Inside are three miniature glass gilt decorated perfume bottles, two with stoppers, one missing.Dated late 1800’s.Condition, No damage to enamel just very slight wear scratches. Two of the glass bottles have nibbles on the rims. Slight tarnish to gilt metal.This is a large substantial item in very good condition for age and quite a rarity.Thank you for looking.
