Offered is this very fine antique museum quality silver gilt large painting picture frame in carved ornate wood and gesso. Baroque Louis XV style probably made in the mid to late 19th century. Frame is in very good condition. Has some losses in the gesso as shown from age and handling but still looks beautiful and presents well. A nice frame for an antique impressionist painting or mirror. Measures 34\" x 40\" overall. Inside dimensions are 22 1/4\" x 28 1/4\". The moulding measures about 6\" wide by 4 1/2\" deep with about 1/2 wide rabbet. See pictures for further description.
