Figurines Made in Occupied Japan/Courting Couple/Musician/18th c. British dress: $18.00
These two figurines are each marked Made in Occupied Japan, putting them in the time period of 1945 to 1952. One is of a man playing the flute. He is wearing a tri-cornered hat, a long red coat and knee breeches. The dress is 18th century either British or American colonial style. He is 5\" tall and 1 1/2\" wide. The other is of a courting couple. A man sitting in a chaise lounge facing a woman who is sitting on the end. He is wearing a long blue coat. He leans forward with one hand behind her back and the other on her arm. The woman is looking down shyly and is wearing a dress with a yellow and pink skirt with a turquoise blue top. They, too, are dressed in what I would call either 18th c. British or American Colonial garb. Wrapped and packed carefully for safe shipping.
