This is a reproduction lamp base in the Belle Epoque style, it may date from around the1980s, in homage to bronze French pieces from the early 1900s. Note that the angel wings have been re-attached with a pair of screws.
That said, this lamp is a visually stunning piece regardless, and would look amazing in a dark corner with a soft lamp installed, perhaps USB powered, or a candle sconce. The item is very tall at 48 cm, and is built from several elaborately moulded components with applied patina to give it an antique mystique. Although a reproduction, there is no completely facile way of making these, and it still would have cost a few dollars when originally sold.
There are holes throughout to thread a wire up from the base if desired, and the screws could be painted over or replaced with a more subtle fixing. The only marking that I can see is the number \"22\" on the back.
Be aware there are some sellers who will try and pass off a reproduction at genuine prices, which can lead to paying over $1000 too much. In fact, this one was fitted with a bakelite power plug (I removed it) to try and make it look older. With this lamp you know what you are getting, its value lies in its aesthetic appeal rather than its age.
