This is my RecommendedStandard Starter Set
In this set you get the following:1-hand-forged blacksmith chisel, hardened and tempered, ready for cold layout and hot-splitting, and decoration work.1-hand-forged fuller1-hand-forged ball punch1-hand-forged square punch (approximately 1/4-inch square)1-hand forged round punch (approximately 1/4-inch round)1-regular eye punch (two sharp tips on either side)1-teardrop eye punch (one sharp tip)1-round eye punch
Each tool is made from high-quality, new, 5/8-inch diameter, round, 5160 spring steel stock. They are approximately 9-inches long. (length varies slightly)The chisel is the only tool that is hardened and tempered. The rest of the tools are meant for hot-work use and do not need to be hardened or tempered in any way. (I do high volume, production work with the exact same tooling made in the exact same way.)
