Dakota Territory 1880s cabinet card, man w \"W\" on tie pin, by Samuel Logan, Fargo (now in North Dakota)This man looks very confident as he gazes off camera. He wears a simple suit with white shirt. His dark tie is patterned, and I believe he is wearing a tie tack with a letter \"W\" on it.
The card has printed on front, below image:\"Logan\" and \"204 Broadway, Fargo, Dak.\"Yellowing to card and image. Fading to image. Soiling to card & image. Foxing (brown spotting) to image.Card measures 6.5 x 4.125 inches, and the image measures 5.75 x 3.875 inches.My mother was a photographer who collected antique photos of all types for years. As I am settling her estate, I will be listing these photos as quickly as I am able. There are hundreds of photos to go through, and I am trying to match any information my mother may have left with individual photos. Unfortunately, Mom had dementia at the end of her life and wasn\'t able to tell me much about her collection. She had done a lot of research into photographers and individual pieces in her collection, and often, but not always, filed her research with the photo(s). I search for more information on the internet and in history books, but it\'s a slow process and it will take me a long time to complete the sorting and selling process.I am always happy to combine shipping on multiple purchases, so please check out my other listings.
