Cover Condition:

Creases and Folds: Creases, especially those that break color, significantly impact the grade. Minor non-color-breaking bends are less severe.

Surface Wear: Includes scuffing, soiling, or any abrasions. A clean, bright cover is ideal.

Corners and Edges: Rounded corners, nicks, and tears along the edges are examined closely.Spine and Staples:Spine Stress and Wear: Includes spine rolls, stress lines, and any splits or tears. The condition of the spine is crucial in grading.

Staples: Staples are checked for rust, alignment, and whether they are original or replaced. Missing or rusted staples lower the grade.

Back Cover:Creases and Bends: Similar to the front cover, any creases or bends are noted.Soiling and Stains: Any discoloration, soiling, or stains on the back cover are considered.Corners and Edges: Wear and tear on the corners and edges of the back cover are evaluated.

Interior Pages:Page Quality: The color, brightness, and brittleness of the pages are important.
