These gaming plaques are unique to American gaming. Sahara baccarat gaming plaques were manufactured by the Bourgogne et Grasset in France and delivered to the Sahara Hotel & Casino in 1974. The Sahara used these plaques in a failed attempt to glamorize baccarat at their hotel and casino. Eventually, they were all pulled from use. At some point hotel owner Del Webb began giving out sets to various employees. Complete sets are worth the most. The rarest plaques are the $1000 (only 200 made), and the $500 (only 500 made). They are serialized. These sets are highly collectible, and sought after by casino chip and Vegas memorabilia collectors. You will probably never see another one of these in your lifetime.
