I HAVE ACQUIRED THE OCCASIONAL ANTIQUE PLATE IN COBALT BLUE BUT THIS A FIRST. '15 inch x 9 inch ' PLATTER THAT IS IN PERFECT ANTIQUE CONDITION WITH EXPECTED WEAR ON THE RIM. COBALT WAS EXPENSIVE TO MAKE FOR POTTERY IN THE LATE 19th C.. THAT IS WHY IT IS NOT PLENTIFUL. THE POTTER USED THE COBALT IN A SECOND GLAZE TO PRODUCE BLUE.
