This listing features a beautiful face cut specimen of a Utah Septarian Nodule with multiple chambers and perfectly healed breccia! Septarian nodules are believed to be the product of an ancient sea; waves off of the water body push decomposing marine life ashore and roll the organic and seashell components into a mud ball. It is theorized that the Septarian nodule is a form of a silicated, petrified mud ball resulting in chambers that later filled with macrocrystalline calcite crystals! This specimen shows yellow and white calcite crystal formations that shimmer and display chatoyancy when a light source catches the crystal face plain. The Septarian nodule half weighs 3 pounds 9.1 ounces and measures 168mm by 146mm by 69mm.All photos taken of the specimen while wet, excluding the final two photos which show the specimen while dry.
