Hagiophyton sp.CORSIN 1948 like it\'s more common cousinMegaphyton sp. Artis was tree fern stemshows vertical row ofthe petiolar scars after big leaves / fronds.


Megaphyton which grew to 10m in height, and is associated with leaves of thetrue spore ferns genusPecopteris and other extinct tree ferns.


Thegroup \"true arborescent treeferns\" includes foliage that have been shown to producespores on the underside of their leaves. Some plants in this group were grounddwelling and others may have been epiphytes. Though most of the plants aretreated as tree ferns and have been found to be related to an extand order offerns called the Marattiales. Today the Marattiales consist of two generaAngiopteris and Marattia.
