Extremely Scarse 1776 Englands Kings Address Revolutionary War - Battle of NY:
$2499.99

This is a highly sought-after 1776 England\'s Kings Address Printing Revolutionary War Imprint. It is an original piece that showcases the historical significance of the Revolutionary War (1775-83). This militaria item was manufactured in the United Kingdom, making it a rare find for collectors. It is a must-have for anyone interested in original period items from this time period. Everything about this is awesome. It talks about the British obtaining Canada and winning NY (this is dated before they won over NY). This also talks about punishment for the rebels and that they also talk about the rebels realizing they were in a state of dissolution by the rebels and returning to their king. It seems to be all propaganda and one of the coolest pieces of American History. The responses during the American Revolution is hard to find and this one has some great subject matter.
\"It is with the truest satisfaction we congratulate your Majesty on the success of your arms in the providence of New York, the recovery of Canada\"
The British conquest of Manhattan was completed with the fall of Fort Washington and the evacuation of Fort Lee (on the Hudson River western shore in New Jersey) on November 16, 1776, and thereafter they held the city without challenge until 1783
\" We beg to assure your majesty that nothing would have given us equal happiness to having been informed by your majesty at the opening of this session, that the troubles, which have to long distracted North America, had been at the end , that your majesty\'s unhappy people in those provinces had recovered from their dissolution and awakened by a due sense of their misfortunes and misdoings, had delivered themselves from the oppression of their leaders, and were returned to their Duty.\" We are fully aware of the mischief which would accrue from the success of this treason, to your majesty\'s loyal Colonies, to the Commerce of this nation and more remotely indeed but nor less certainly to the system of Europe, and to every state upon the continent of Europe possessed of distant colonies\"
The pamphlet goes on to talk about \" keeping us in a respectable State of Defense at Home\" The kings reply to this letter
\" My Lords, I return you My thanks for this dutiful and affectionate Address. It is with great pleasure I observe the satisfaction which the success of My Arms against the rebels in North America has given to all My loving subjects. That which you express is highly acceptable to Me.The preservation of the Publics tranquillity, the happiness of all My peoples and the maintenance of our most excellent constitution, are the invaluable objects of My heart. FINIS (the temporal end; the concluding time)
