Way cool and way rare invitation to the home of Sec of State and Mrs William Seward, dated April 30 for 8 1/2 o'clock.

Though this is not dated with a year, the only year during Seward's tenure where April 30 fell on a Wed was 1862 placing this item from very early in his time of service.

The pics will show the very good condition and what parts were hand written. Obviously it is impossible to know exactly who wrote this, but it is a pretty cool piece linked to the Lincoln years in the white house.
