RAO Black, in june 2006 parachute reconnaissance regiment "185° Rgt. Ricognizione e Acquisizione Obiettivi" (185° RAO) entrusted the company Extrema Ratio development of a unique knife adapted to the specific operations of the unit. The project resulted in the creation of the RAO, a solid heavy folding knife (Heaviest Folder) with a massive, reliable blade.

Legendary RAO is a durable, versatile knife with a folding solid head designed for use on the battlefield and for extremely heavy work. Reliable blade locking system Bolt Lock, supported by an additional bolt-on (right side) steel safety pin (Extra Safety Lock), effectively turns the folder into a fixed blade knife.

Head - solid with a thickness of 6 mm i extremely sharp with a short false blade and shape Tanto provides excellent cutting edge geometry with low friction. Made of good sharpness-holding, durable, high-cobalt stainless steel N690 hardness 58 HRC made in an Austrian steel mill Böhler-Uddeholm.
