This is an exquisite vintage Mappin & Webb silverplated double handled princess plate wine or champagne bottle holder decorated with pierced designs and monogrammed with MAY, that is the letters I believe it to be, and scalloped top edges. It measures approx. 7 1/4\" in height and opening is 4 1/4\" in diameter and base is 5\" in diameter. Marked, Mappin & Webb\'s, Princess Plate, London & Sheffield, Triple Deposit, W 13562. As seen in the pictures, I have left it just as I found it with all the patina on it and discoloration spots and it is going to need a polishing, otherwise in good condition.
