The Grand Antique Mall, located in Cincinnati, Ohio, presents an English Enamel Trinket “Curiosity” egg-shaped hinged box. Handmade in Bilston, England, by Halcyon Days. The egg has gold hinges and rims. Marked EASTER 1996 on the egg’s top half. NOTE: All Halcyon molds are destroyed on the 30th of April in the year marked, thus preventing reproduction. The Easter Egg is ancestor of the Battersea Bilston boxes created in the 1700s. Halcyon handmakes several Easter designs for each year. Halcyon Days mark inside. Created in the traditional, hand-crafted, Georgian technique of enamel on copper. Bright white interior. Includes original blue box with velvet interior, 13-page booklet, and Certificate of Authenticity. The lid of the box has 2 of Queen Elizabeth’s coats-of-arms. DIMENSIONS= 2.5\"H x 2.0”W x 2.0”D.
