For sale is a early Ohio Tool Co. No. 05, smooth sole jack plane, Type 1, circa 1900-1905 (ref. timetestedtools.net). The plane is in very good condition and appears to be all original. The red jappaning is well worn. Some light rust from sitting in an unheated shop. Rosewood knob and tote have no cracks or chips, only some light scratches. Name H.P. Keyte stamped into side of tote (see photo) Heavily tapered Thistle brand cutter iron has been ground and sharpened, may be ready to use. Plane is 14\" long and 2 3/8\" wide. Cutting steel marked Ohio Tool Co., Thistle Brand, Auburn, NY USA no thistle visible. If anyone has any additional information on this item, I would appreciate it and would add it to the description.
