Early English Staffordshire Teapot
Early Staffordshire oval teapot decorated with a beautiful brown floral transfer with large open flowers over a wallpaper style background.
Measures12" long spout to handle; 7 1/4" high to finial
Marked on the base with an incised anchor
Good original antique condition. There is overall crazing with discoloration, particularly to the interior. The lid and rim on which it sits are chipped, with some small chips/roughness also on the spout. There are tight old hairlines that surround the body of the piece and some go through to the interior. Additionally, there are manufacturing imperfections such as pitting, paint slop, typical of this type of early pottery.
