Early American Survey Compass-18th Century-unsigned:
$675.00

18th Century Survey Compass with mahogany stand (needs to be fitto the brass tapper). The needle is off the pin and the putty needs replaced. The compass still retains the original wings and hold down knobs. The glass is in good condition as is the inner degree dial. The back shows early construction details using the cast, hammer method.
This is a fine early dial and could be brought back to working condition with a little work.
