EXTREMELY RARE San Miguel San Santiago Señor Del Huerto Retablo on Wood

This Retablo is a one of a kind piece. You will not find another similar to it.

San Miguel Nativitas is shown on the right spearing a staff into a piece of land in Mexico where criminals were abundant to drive them off. According to legend, a spring of holy water erupted from the spot where his staff entered the ground.

San Santiago Matamoros is shown on the left killing a “Moro” - the namesake for the town of Matamoros in Mexico.

Señor Del Huerto is seen toward the top of the Retablo.

There is some minor repainting on background areas including part of Santiago’s clothes and part of the moro’s clothes.

The piece is approximately 11.5” by 12”.
