Description:This bottle is a superb example of a figural ear of corn bitters. Embossed NATIONAL BITTERS. Two-piece mold with an embossed base PATENT // 1867.Very crude applied lip. Very nice red-amber color. It would be a great bottle for a color run.Height:12 1/2"Lip: Crude applied top.Color:Beautiful RED AMBER.Condition: Near Mint. The only thing keeping this bottle from being MINT is asmaller than a pin-head size lip roughness on the lip.(see last picture; six o'clock position) In-making partially open small onionskin bubbles on the backside under the mouth.No cracks, chips, dings, repairs, or stains.Shiny no high point wear on bottle. There isnormal wear and use marks that are consistent with the bottle's age on its base.Remarks: Overall the bottle is Near Mint! Excellent example of a NATIONAL CORN BITTERS. The color is what it's all about right? So here is a beautiful RED AMBER bottle for a color run. This is probably the nicest RED AMBER one I have owned. Not a dug bottle. The bottle has not been tumbled. If this bottle was Yellow you would be paying a thousand dollars. It is a steal at $550.00.
