EMPRESS OF FRANCE (1928) She was built by John Brown & Co., Clydebank, Glasgow, Scotland for the Canadian Pacific Line. She was a 20,448 GT ship with dimensions of 581\'x75\'. Twin-screw, 18 knots, steam turbines, two masts and two funnels. Reconditioned in 1947 after war service. Reentered the Liverpool-Quebec-Montreal service on Sept 1, 1948.
