WALKER\'S AUSTEX CHILI CO.,Austin, TX\"MEXENE\"Chili Powder Seasoning, Since 1906
BLUE Litho Tin, Full RED Cap w/ \"MEXENE\" stamp NOT painted white.The BLUE color has oxidized to light tan 3/4 of the way up.The bottom of the front label is RED w/ White NET WEIGHT & Ingredients, and Red Company information. \"Red on Red\" is difficult to read.LATER iterations are Black inside the scrollwork, plus an added \"Purification / Sterilization Patent Label\' to the right.
Quite possibly 30\'s/40\'s,3 1/4\"T x 1 3/8\" Diam, 60% full by volume.This guy is in FAIR shape with surface rusting.

As much as they were used in household cooking, and nobody was concerned about collecting them :-), most found their way to the trash and burn piles. This one is a survivor as it is not empty.
