SCARCE EARLY to MID 19TH CENTURY AMERICAN ANTIQUE PAIR TALL 11\" in HEIGHT \'PUSH-UP,\' POLISHED BRASS CANDLESTICKS, with WORKING INTERIOR WAX REJECTION \'PUSH-UP\' MECHANISMS[Offered for your review & consideration is this very handsome pair of early to mid 19th century American antique, tall, 11\" in height, \'push-up\' polished brass candlesticks, with interior wax rejection \'push-up\' mechanisms. This pair of antique \'push-up\' candlesticks are nice & tall, being a full 11\" in overall height (not including tall, slender, dipped wax candles.) They\'re nearly completely undamaged with only a barely noticeable \'touch\' or tiny nick on one of the turns of one of the sticks. This is miniscule & only even observed upon extremely close inspection. The sticks have their original antique brass patina & have wonderful golden yellow color & aren\'t too bright, as is often seen with over polished brass candlesticks,scoured down with a chemical brass cleaner. This isn\'t the case with this pair of very well-preserved sticks, which have working internal \'push-up\' mechanisms that freely move up & down without any resistance old, built up, caked wax is usually responsible for causing. This stately pair would look great on any table, sideboard, fireplace mantle or night tables in a boudoir.
