Here\'s an early Covered Butter pattern called Illinoismade by U.S. Glass No.15052 in Pittsburgh PA ca. 1897. It is a 7 1/4\" square by 5 3/4\" tall. At well over 100 years of age it\'s a true antique. It\'s in excellent condition. There is one small chip of the inside edge of the Butter bottom. See photo. There is a small rough spot on the inside edge of the Butter bottom. It does not detract. See Photo. This covered butter is a hard one to come by these days. There are no cracks or lines or fractures and no stains or mineral deposit. As with all early glass there may be tiny air bubbles embedded in the glass. This will make a great accessory to any Victorian home.62902320144
