Dr. Fahrney developed patent medicines using natural herbs, many which had been used by his grandfather in the late 18th century in Virginia and Maryland. Dr. Fahrney received his formal training atJefferson Medical College at Philadelphia, after which he took a course in chemical and pharmaceutical training at the Philadelphia School of Pharmacy.
