From the July/August 2014 issue of Playboy, this original art features the hand-colored Xerox of the pencil sketch which measures approximately 8 1/2 by 11 inches. Sneyd made a Xerox copy of the pencil sketch, then hand-colored that Xerox. This is part of the artists creative process in making the final cartoon as it will ultimately appear in the magazine. Of note, Sneyd did not do many redheads in his cartoons. Also shown (for reference only- it is not included in the listing) is a scan of the final rendering of the cartoon as it was ultimately published in the magazine). But again, please note- this listing is for the hand-colored Xerox only.

About Doug Sneyd:

Doug Sneyd began his career incommercial illustration before going freelance to work for a variety of book and magazine publishers. He also illustrated single-panel cartoons for theToronto Star, Canada's largest circulation newspaper (cartoons that were eventually syndicated throughout North America). In 1964, he began working for Playboyand hisgag strips have appeared in the magazine ever since. Throughout his career, he has contributed over 500 cartoons in all and became a favorite artist of Playboy readers.
