Measuring approximately 8 1/2 x 11 inches and drawn on standard copy paper, this preliminary gag artwork features the work of acclaimed Playboy artist Doug Sneyd. In good condition (as a prelim, these are part of Sneyd\'s creative process - they were not meant to be kept perfect and so do have some use wear), it will be shipped with the utmost care. Please note- this is an actual, original piece of art drawn by hand by Sneyd. It is not a copy, print or pre-printed image. It is a one-of-a-kind original.Rendered with Sharpie fine point permanent marker and Dr. Ph. Martin\'s aniline dyes. Of note, this rough was one of the concept sketches selected for inclusion in Unpublished Sneyd, a softcoverbook first sold in 2007 at the Big Wow ComicFest. The 2-day convention in San Jose, California was organized by Steve Morger/Big Wow Art and Steve Wyatt. So, though not published in Playboy, the piece is published in Unpublished Sneyd (on page 39, left side). Shown for reference but not included with the listing is a Xerox copy of the cover to Unpublished Sneyd.

About Doug Sneyd:

Doug Sneyd began his career incommercial illustration before going freelance to work for a variety of book and magazine publishers. He also illustrated single-panel cartoons for theToronto Star, Canada\'s largest circulation newspaper (cartoons that were eventually syndicated throughout North America). In 1964, he began working for Playboyand hisgag strips have appeared in the magazine ever since. Throughout his career, he has contributed over 500 cartoons in all and became a favorite artist of Playboy readers.
