Disneyland PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN Attraction OLSZEWSKI Miniature 1ST EDITION:
$2500.00

HEY MATEY! YOU'LL HAVE A "YO HO HO" DAY WHEN YOU ADD THIS AWESOME MINIATURE REPLICA OF THE PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN RIDE TO YOUR DISNEY DISPLAY AND COLLECTION!
This miniature Disneyland Pirates of the Caribbean attraction ride is a must-have for any Disney fan and collector. Featuring the iconic ride from the beloved Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, this collectible is sure to bring back memories of the thrilling adventure.
THIS ITEM HAS NEVER BEEN USED, DISPLAYED OR REMOVED FROM BOX OR PLASTIC.I only opened the box to take pictures for this sale. Because of the fragility of the piece, I did not want to remove from box for further pictures.YOU WILL BE THE FIRST PERSON TO EVER TAKE IT OUT OF THE BOX.It has been in its box since I purchased it in 2006, sitting in a closet with other Disney collectibles I did not open. I simply didn't have the space to display it, but I hope YOU do!
THIS SCULPTURE IS FROM THE FIRST EDITION RELEASE OF THE PIECE. VERY RARE! ESPECIALLY SINCE IT'S NEVER BEEN USED.
The piece comes with TWO interchangeable scenes of the Dunking Bride and the Harbor Fight scene. They can be inserted into the back of the model to view under the lights. The whole piece measures approximately9.5" x 10.5" and 5.5" tall.
This is such an amazing and colorful piece that perfectly represents the famous Disneyland attraction. It should be a part of everyone's collection. THE PIECE LIGHTS UP AS WELL. And you can see that the plug attachment is still in its white box, having never been opened. The top of the box shows a little wear and scuff marks from from sitting in a closet for years (see pic), but nothing major.Since I've never taken this out of its box, I wanted to include pictures of what the special insert scenes look like. So I borrowed some pix from the amazing Disney resource, colddeadfish.net. They have so much info about the Olszewski Disneyland miniatures as well as everything else Disney.
ABOUT SHIPPING: This is a big heavy awkward box. So to send it to you safely, I will be putting it in a much larger box and surrounding it with plenty of bubble wrap and packing materials so it arrives safely at your home tucked in its own little cocoon. That being said, shipping is going to be expensive depending on what carrier you choose. Or you can pick it up locally in NJ.
Here's a little info I found out about Robert Olszewski I found on his website:
Robert William Olszewski (pronounced ol-shes-ski) has established himself as a major influence in the creation and production of miniature figurative art. Robert Olszewski began his art career first as a painter and as an art teacher who evolved to become a world known miniature figurative artist, sculptor, and architect. In 1977, his first serious miniature figurative works were sculpted to accessorize a doll house that he built for his daughter, Meredith. Over a 30-year career, Olszewski’s miniature work continues to evolve, and he has created a body of work that is collected worldwide.
Here's a little about Disneyland I found on Wikipedia:
Disneyland is a theme park at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California. It was the first theme park opened by The Walt Disney Company and the only one designed and constructed under the direct supervision of Walt Disney, and opened on July 17, 1955. Disney initially envisioned building a tourist attraction adjacent to his studios in Burbank to entertain fans who wished to visit; however, he soon realized that the proposed site was too small for the ideas that he had. After hiring the Stanford Research Institute to perform a feasibility study determining an appropriate site for his project, Disney bought a 160-acre (65 ha) site near Anaheim in 1953. The park was designed by a creative team hand-picked by Walt from internal and outside talent. They founded WED Enterprises, the precursor to today's Walt Disney Imagineering. Construction began in 1954 and the park was unveiled during a special televised press event on the ABC Television Network on July 17, 1955. Since its opening, Disneyland has undergone expansions and major renovations, including the addition of New Orleans Square in 1966, Bear Country in 1972, Mickey's Toontown in 1993, and Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge in 2019. Additionally, Disney California Adventure Park opened in 2001 on the site of Disneyland's original parking lot.
