Selling from my Minnesota entertainment collection this extraordinary YOU CANNOT BUY it City Pole Banner from the first stop on the national tour of Lion King in 2005.
Here is a perfect (as nature allowed it to be) area street pole banner for the FIRST STOP on the national tour or Lion King in 2005. The world premier was here, but much water drew under the bridge before the first tour was launched. But once again, it was launched from Minneapolis. And so history was cemented. This is a BEAUTIFUL vinyl banner 63 inches tall and 24 inches across. Both sides the same, the classic and MUST HAVE graphics. Banner brackets on downtown Minneapolis city utility poles are managed by the Minneapolis Downtown Council (a business association) and publicity or celebration banners are commissioned by the Downtown Council and paid for by sponsors. Banners ranging from the Lion King to the NCAA Final Four to season openers for the Twins, Vikings and Timberwolves are among the many seasonally changing colorful elements of celebration or promotion on year-around display in the central business district.In 2005 this would have been the MUST HAVE theater ticket. And imagine, the FIRST STOP on the national tour banner?
Banners when taken down are almost always destroyed or recycled. But that was not the case with a small handful of the 2004 NHL ones. The removal crew saved this one for me.This banner is in excellent condition, in part because it was on display on poles only for the run of the show. Both sides the same graphic. Standard flag pole arms or rods or dowels would do the trick for display. Suitable for framing, hanging, or mounting for two sided viewing. The item has been rolled for twenty years, and will relax and hang/lie flat.
