This particular style of handbag was called the Princess Charming bag or Window bag, and was manufactured in Hong Kong using thick glossy wicker. Their most noteworthy feature was the plastic “window pane” that one could look through to see a whimsical design made from real seashells. The best ones (like the one listed here) were made with lucite handles and brass locks.
