Éditions Lug, 1983 Very Rare collected edition.• First French edition of "The Death of Captain Marvel" graphic novel • Published in the magazine sized album series "Top BD" in 1983
• Collected edition which bounds together"The Death of Captain Marvel" and "Dark Crystal" with a new custom cover designed specifically for France depicting Mar-Vell (sort of) a moment right after the death scene modeled after Michelangelo's "La Pietà" used by Starlin on the original US edition. Here Mar-vell, in a sort of "walk to the afterlife" proceeds hand in hand with death, which no longer has the skeletal appearance, but the visage of a blue-skinned woman. VERY RARE.
