Dated 1948 Santa Fe AT&SFRY Railroad Hand Towel Pullman Type Lovely Condition:
$29.95

Here is just an absolutely lovely, small towel from the Santa Fe Railway!
It is DATED 1948 (woven right into the fabric) If you want a unique item from the Santa Fe or collect railroad hand towels -
LOOK NO FURTHER. SIZE: At approximately 15-1/2 inches wide by 16-1/2 inches long, this great little towel is noticeably smaller than the about 16-inch x 24-inch \"usual\" Pullman towel size, so we are guessing it likely would have been intended for a more \"personal\" space - likely in a sleeping car berth, perhaps, rather than a larger washroom on board or in a depot. CONDITION : You WILL NOT find one any better. It\'s beautiful with a strong, bright scarlet red banner woven into the white background. There are NO rips, NO tears, NO stains. The hem on each end is finished securely in a full row of unbroken stitches. The side edges are factory selvedge finished instead of hemmed, so they cannot tear. IMPORTANT: It DOES have ONE tiniest spot where there are several broken threads (most on the back)/a minuscule hole. SEE OUR LAST TWO PICTURES PLEASE: This looks like a shadow on the surface, nit picking, but \"it is there.\" It could be darned so it wouldn\'t be noticeable, but I simply don\'t have time. So it\'s being sold with this \"honorable damage\" from actual use (blame the Santa Fe). I laundered it carefully and it pressed wonderfully. It will arrive ready to hang for display. There is no manufacturer label on this, but that seems to be the case more often than not on old railway linens, especially towels. It probably was made by Cannon, a major maker of railroad linens at the time, but we have nothing to prove it. PLEASE NOTE CHOICE OF SHIPPING SERVICES ! Please email with questions
