[A couple quick notes-- If you only want some of these comics, it may be possible, feel free to inquire. For now, this is as low as I\'m going to go on the price-- I believe these comics will appreciate in value so if no one snags \'em they\'ll stay in my collection..]Here are some early works from Dan Clowes, creator of Eightball among other underground comic gems; this is the larger of 2 lots like this (while supplies last!), the most comprehensive I can put together... as mentioned in the last pic I do have extra copies of Eightball and Lloyd Llewelyn which you could add on, feel free to inquire.
Included here is Cracked #216, his first work there, and various other issues of Cracked where he contributed (sometimes under the name \"Stosh Gillespie\").. Monster Party #5 is the only front cover art he did for Cracked, and Cracked #241 shows photos of him, Peter Bagge and other undergound legends at a Cracked party, see pic 5.Fox #14 is early cover art by Clowes, it has a wraparound cover.. the rest of that sexy leg creature is shown in my other listing. Love and Rockets #13 first printing, only printing with technically his first work at Fantagraphics, a preview for Lloyd Llewelyn (see pic 7). And a still sealed cassette tape he did the cover art for, indie rock and ska, lyrics by Ernest Noyes Brookings-- from Duplex Planet-- do yourself a favor and snag a cheap copy of the Duplex Planet TPB, interviews with people at an old folks home with questions like \"How close can you get to a penguin?\" .. my fave response-- \"Grab \'em\". HOW I GRADE COMICS:
Here\'s the usual disclaimer: I am not a professional grader. I am trying to be accurate and consistent as I can. I will point out all flaws that I find. Some bagged comics I will grade \"through the bag\" so I may miss interior / back cover flaws. My general philosophy is that I want people to know exactly what they\'re getting, not be disappointed, and come back to look at my future listings.SHIPPING INFO:
I am always happy to combine shipping. One way to get combined shipping is to add items to your \"Shopping Cart\" then from the Shopping Cart, click on \"request total from seller\". Or you can just pay for a bunch of listings and I\'ll send a refund for overpaid shipping (see shipping costs below).

I\'m flexible and will help you put together an order to minimize shipping costs, ie if you get a little more than will fit in a Priority package, you can subtract some comics for a refund. I\'m happy to end a listing and set it aside for you, while you figure out what else to add to the package.

Economy Mail could be Media Mail or some other USPS service (ie, if you live close to New Hampshire); it can save you a lot, especially for larger orders. If that\'s your preference please let me know before you pay. Just be aware that it takes longer. Packages sent Economy Mail will be \"extra fortified\".

International buyers or for local pickup: please contact me before offerding / buying.

up to about 18 comics - $12.00 USPS Priority Mail, well fortified. If comics are group bagged with no backing boards, 20 could be possible (only if you give me the go-ahead).

more than 18 / 20 - whatever is the best actual USPS cost. Economy Mail I might round up just a little because I spend more time fortifying the package. About 40+ comics w/bags and boards can ship in the medium flat rate box for $20 (more comics if some backing boards are omitted). If you are close to NH (basically, east of the Mississippi and north of Florida) the Priority Regional Rate Box B is a good deal.

I package things carefully!! I know what it\'s like to get comics with banged up corners, or folded down the middle... grrrrrrr. I will mail First Class (1-3 books) in a cardboard mailer or box. For larger orders: usually I\'ll wrap the comics in a larger bag, and sandwich it between strong cardboard that\'s LARGER than the comics, and leave room for padding around that. Comics sent Priority Mail will be in a box, or between strong cardboard, usually in the padded envelope.
