Once in a Blue Moon, you will see one of these Opening Day, July 1955 newspapers, and when you find one, it is in pretty bad, to really bad condition.

It is RARE t o find a copy with only, the expected, and acceptable, very light taning of the newsprint. ( From day one, the paper was never white. Newsprint starts out slightly tan )

This was a promotional piece that ran in a couple of California newspapers prior to the opening of Disneyland. The very best concept art done by Disney illustrators, shows the park and it\'s many attractions.

CONDITION UPDATE , June 28, 2024

I recently SOLD this tabloid. When the buyer removed it from the toploader, the static created, pulled on the cover, and tore the upper portion of the spine. Accidents happen

( see the last couple of photos ) I took some of the blame for not wrapping the tabloid in tissue to avoid the static, and issued a 100% REFUND. I The bottom half wasn\'t torn. Now, I have lowered the price by 50% of what it sold for ten days ago.

The $200 asking price is a bargain for this RARE DISNEYLAND tabloid, in this condition, which is still really nice.

THAT SAID, this RARE Disneyland Opening Day ( 11 x 13.5 inches ) tabloid newspaper, is still very valuable, and very collectible . If there was a tear, this is probably the best spot to have a tear. None of the images were affected, and none of the 16 remaining inner pages were affected.

NO stains, no writing, no tape, and no ragged damaged edges. The outer edges of every page, including the front and back cover pages are stil nice and clean, and lay 100% FLAT.

This 20 Page newspaper tabloid is in a custom, two piece toploader, so that the cover and back cover, never rub on the platic toploader, itself.

See one of the final photos. There is one custom toploader sleeve inserted into a slightly larger toploader.

The fold in the middle is how all copies are. They were folded by the inserting machine, so that it would fit into the daily newspaper, which was also folded.

All pages are beautiful, with extremely nice , vibrant color.

I will wrap the newspaper itself, in tissue so that there will be no static that would damage the cover any further.
