About the item: Beautiful Hand Painted Greek Pottery Ewer Pitcher Vintage reproduction depicting the Harnessing of a chariot painted about 520 B.C. by Antimenes. The original is on display at the British Museum in London. This vintage recreation of the original Vase was made in the 1960s with intricate care and detail by Greek artist D. Vassilopoulos. It is number M F117/B of his collection. Vassilopoulos was a prolific artist from Greece who specialized in creating hand crafted reproductions of ancient Greek pottery. These reproductions were created in the 1960s and were based on original greek pottery exhibited in museums throughout Europe. They were sold at the gift shops of the museums where the originals were on display, and by the artist directly to collectors. The pitcher is in Near Mint condition - no chips or cracks. This will look beautiful in a collection, out on a table, used as a vase, or just one of those fun things you have up on a shelf to bring some intrigue to a room. It measures approximately 9.25 inches in height.
